Age 82, of Penn Hills, on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Beloved husband of Eileen Heffner; Father of Virginia Wright, Renee (Doug) Roehrs, David (Elaine) Mantick, Denise (Raymond) Grasinger, and Valerie (Shannon) Edwards; Grandfather of Drew, Joshua, Mara, Justin, Alicia, Michel, Sean, Brittany, Aaron, and April; Great Grandfather of Dylan, Jaykub, Isabella, Cali, Blake, Jon, Levi, Liam, and Lilliana; Brother of Grace (Roy) Deer; Uncle of Denise (Jim) Ruggiero, Sam (Jackie) Deer, Diana (Ronald) Jones, and the late Deborah Warren; Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Vina Heffner. George was a proud US Navy veteran having spent over 20 years in the service, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He enjoyed bowling, worked as mechanic in the service and owned and operated a transmission shop. He was an active member of Monroeville Assembly of God Church. Friends received, Monday, 10:00am until Funeral Service at 12:00pm, Noon at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills.
